Oven Temperature Conversion
Convert oven temperatures between Fahrenheit, Celsius, gas mark and fan (convection). US recipes use Fahrenheit; UK and European recipes use Celsius or a gas mark. Enter any value below, or read the full chart underneath.

Fan and convection ovens
A fan (convection) oven circulates hot air and cooks faster than a conventional oven. As a rule, reduce the temperature by about 20°C (25°F) from what a conventional recipe specifies, and start checking a little earlier than the recipe says.
The conversion formula
To convert Fahrenheit to Celsius: subtract 32, then multiply by 5/9. To go the other way, multiply Celsius by 9/5 and add 32. For oven use the rounded values in the chart above are accurate enough for baking.
